Born in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), Vladimir Stadnik began his training at the age of ten at the Vaganova Academy. After finishing his studies, he became a solo dancer with the State Theater of Opera and Ballet and toured throughout the Soviet Union, Europe and the USA. Additionally, he received a Bachelors degree in the Methodology of Classical Ballet at the University of Culture in St. Petersburg and a Masters degree as Ballet Master/Choreography in the Choreographic department of the State University of St. Petersburg n.a. Rimsky-Korsakov (alma mater of George Balanchine and Boris Eifman). In 1997,Mr. Stadnik won a prize at the Vaganova Prix and he was finalist at the Choreography Competition in Hannover, 1998. After retiring from the stage, Mr. Stadnik taught in Switzerland, Finland, France and Italy before being invited to the USA to direct the Tulsa Center for Dance Education. Later he was Assistant Professor of Dance and taught at the Ball State University in Indiana, USA. As guest instructor at the Indiana Ballet Conservatory, he successfully prepared many students for the YAGP competition in New York. Some of Mr. Stadnik’s former students are presently dancers with the Maryinsky Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada, Orlando Ballet and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Dusseldorf Germany Mr. Stadnik specializes in teaching Classical ballet, Pas de deux and Character Dance.
